Excellent book. Very organized and step by step approach explaining all the features/settings of the camera. First a high level overview, then later a more in depth description of how, when, where, and why to use the different features/settings, etc. The pictures are very descriptive and helpful. There were a couple of features that did not seem to work correctly and I was unable to find anything in the camera manual explaining them BUT did easily find those in this book. Also gives a good description of accessories for the camera. Definitely 5 stars.

Dave's conversational style of presentation makes the reader feel like he's learning from a friend. The content is presented in a natural flow of what I call 'discovery'. What you need to know followed by what you will want to know. No lack of technical information but you won't get slogged down in pages of calculus either.Clear and concise, I would recommend this book to anyone even thinking of purchasing the D7500.

I find it very irksome that the author keeps patting himself on the back every opportunity he gets, and sometimes creates one. One such example (right in the middle of a chapter, not inside cover notes): "Most other third-party books follow this format, featuring black-and-white photos or line drawings of front, back, and top views, and many labels. I originated the up-close-and-personal, full-color, street-level roadmap (rather than a satellite view) that I use in this book and my previous camera guidebooks."I have already bought the book. Does it need to be sold to me? Do I still need to be convinced? I want to read about my camera, not what a creative genius the author is. This is just needlessly eating up my most precious resource: time.It means a lot more when others put in a good word for the author. And a lot of people have done so here. He should have just let the sales of the book speak for itself.

This book is much more thorough than I can describe. I had a number of questions about my new D7500 and the book answered all of them. The same was true of his guide to the D5500, which prompted me to buy this book. Anyone that knows more about the D7500 than David Busch should write their own guide.

More frequently than not people who write books attempting to organize and explain thousands of bits of data fall short. Not only are their tomes tedious to follow, but readers ultimately get frustrated, give up, pull out a few tidbits and put the books away forever.This book is different. Kudos to Busch. I see why he is so popular!First, he does not talk down to the reader.Second, he manages to arrange information in a way that can be almost conversationally presented.Third, while that approach might make it impossible to nail down where in the 500 pages you’ll find exactly what you want to know, Busch manages to organize data in topic areas that are intuitive and he seem to anticipate your questions and inquiries.Great explations of complex topics will make them so clear that you will wonder why you didn’t understand in the first place.And no, you don’t have to read the book in order, or even all of it. I suspect almost everyone can find enough to more than make the price of the book worthwhile. I am convinced the book is more than worth its weight in gold. I will keep it on hand as a reference tool.One suggestion for improvement: upgrade the index to be more comprehensive.In summary, you will never regret choosing this book from the gazillion on the same topic. It outshines the masses in almost every way.

I had his guide to the D3400 and loved that too. The manual for these cameras is like a list of features. It tells you WHAT you can do, HOW to do it, but Mr. Busch's guide also tells you WHY you might want to do something. It is very complete but an easy read. I have the Kindle version and it is formatted very well. The images display perfectly on a color Kindle. If you have just purchased a D7500, you can easily become overwhelmed by the number of options and settings. This guide will make getting to know your camera a much smoother experience. Highly recommended.

I bought the camera Nikon D7500 recently. I needed guidance to learn the camera and to get the most out of this camera. I came across by someone who recommended this book on the net. I took my chances and bought this book.I took this one on my trip and left the Nikon Book that came with the camera behind.This is the best book I can say to learn this camera in depth. Very well written. Describes in simple way step by step covering each and every aspect of Nikon D7500 in depth and walking through in a very simple way. I would recommend this book highly.

In depth but simple and to the point explanations of all the great features of this excellent Nikon camera. The attached photo was shot at ISO -6400 after my first few days of reading and reviewing David's advice on settings. Worth the price to anyone who wants to improve their skill levels in using this DSLR.
