Review
Reviewed By Erin Nicole Cochran for Readers' FavoriteWhere Is My Little Crocodile? is a charming, fun-filled children's book by author Ingo Blum and illustrated by Antonio Pahetti. The premise is a young crocodile who can't be found and the narrator, who is one of the parents of said little crocodile, is searching for him in a number of places that might be odd to find a crocodile in, but which create a comical atmosphere for old and young alike. Although the book is only twenty-six pages, it does a lot in that small amount of space. Through the illustrations we can get a sense of this world and it feels vivid and colorful. The tone of the narration is very easy to grasp and many children would be able to enjoy it. One of my favorite parts of Where Is My Little Crocodile? by author Ingo Blum and illustrator Antonio Pahetti is the section at the very end where the story book doubles as a coloring book as well. I think that more children's books should double as a coloring book so that people who may not be able to afford many things for their children will be able to have a gift that gets their children to be active in pursuit of art. I feel that this delightful book would be great for all ages and that even adults would enjoy it as well. It calls to mind one of my own favorite childhood books, Are You My Mother? And anything that can remind me of that is a great book indeed!

Our 3-year-old great grandson loves this cute book.
This was an adorable book that I'm sure toddlers will love to hear read to them time and again. I personally wasn't too keen on the color palette used - way too much green! - but I still think the very young will like looking at the pictures while the story's being read. I also think it's fantastic that coloring pages are at the end of the book; they'll surely give several additional hours of fun!I thought this book would be like "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", and while parts are similar, it's definitely its own entity. With that being said, I thought this was a strong story with great and entertaining characters; Kes is a great role model when it comes to what a big brother should be like, and Star is a sweetheart when she's herself. The snow creatures were all interesting and wondrous, as well. ~ I am leaving this honest review in exchange for a free digital copy, provided by ARC ~
I was given this book for free to read and review. I have a two year old grandson and we read books together at nap time and at night. We are always looking for new fun and entertaining books that keep his attention and this book delivered. The illustrations were not only colorful but were captivating as my grandson's eyes lit up looking for Charlie the crocodile on each page and my smile couldn't get any bigger. The story was simple but engaging plus easy to follow. We especially liked the coloring pages at the end. I do believe we will be purchasing more of the books from this author and I highly recommend this book to anyone who has little ones or has little ones on the way because this would make a great present as I can see it as a staple for constant bedtime reading in the future. I know it will be on repeat at this house.
My 4 year old son received this book from the author and decided to review it.His review:I loved the part when we found Charlie the little crocodile. I didn't like the part when they showed Charlie in the places he wasn't. I think other kids would like this book.Mama's review:This is a cute little story about a lost crocodile. The story itself is great, but the pictures got a little confusing. The words said Charlie wasn't in a place, but the pictures showed that he was. I would recommend this story though, because it's a fun little bedtime book.
This is a really cute book for younger children. There are several things I like about this book. First it has great illustrations that are large. Second those illustrations make the book engaging for the child as a "look and find". Third it's short. It won't loose the child's attention. I received this ARC copy from Hidden Gems in exchange for an honest review. The paper copy contains extra pages for drawing as well. If you find this book as fun as I did this author also has two other " Where's my" books as well.
This was a great kid story. My youngest daughter loved this story. She loved the pictures of the crocodile and couldn't wait to see where they were going to look for him next. Plus it was short enough that she sat through the whole book. I cant wait to read this book to her again. For me this book was prefect for an active kid that doesn't sit still for very long. I loved all the drawings in this book and I thought that the crocodile was made perfectly and not to scary like I have seen in other stories.
The illustrations are cute and kept my four year old son entertained, but the story was confusing. There would be pictures with the crocodile clearly in it, but the accompanying text would read "nope, he's not in there" or something like that. It was just odd and so confusingly written, I'm beginning to wonder if it was simply a failure in translation since the author is a German native.I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is a cute story with some simple text that has a repetitive pattern. Some of the pictures did not quite go with the story which could be confusing for a child. The colors in the illustrations were nice. I did not like the font. The apostrophe and the letter k were just plain weird and confusing for young children who are 4-6 and might be reading this book on their own. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
